At Sand Dollar Cleaners, we go the extra mile to care for your garments with the utmost professionalism, and we stand behind our work with the strongest customer satisfaction guarantees in town. However, to keep our attorneys happy, please review our standard policies below.

All garments and household items accepted for processing are subject to the following terms and conditions:

1. Unclaimed Items

  • Sand Dollar Cleaners is not responsible for garments left unclaimed for more than 30 days.
  • Unclaimed articles will be handled or disposed of in accordance with Florida state statutes.

2. Garment Care & Pre-existing Conditions

We use the highest level of care and select the cleaning processes best suited to the nature and condition of each individual item. However, we cannot assume responsibility for:

  • Inherent Weaknesses: Defects or weaknesses in materials that are not readily apparent prior to processing. This applies particularly (but is not limited) to items made wholly or partly of suede, leather, silk, satin, double-faced fabrics, vinyl, and polyurethane.
  • Trimmings & Hardware: Damage to buckles, beads, buttons, belts, sequins, and other embellishments.
  • Missing Care Labels: Items that have had the manufacturer’s required care labels removed prior to cleaning.

3. Laundering Limitations

  • We cannot guarantee against color loss, shrinkage, or damage to weak/tender fabrics during the standard laundering process.

4. Order Counts & Discrepancies

  • Missing Items: Any differences in item count must be reported—and the corresponding invoice(s) presented—within 48 hours of pickup or delivery.
  • Final Count: Unless an itemized list accompanied the bundle at drop-off, our inventory count is final.

5. Limits of Liability

  • The company’s maximum liability for any lost or damaged article shall not exceed 10 times the standard processing charge for that specific item.
